(IRMS Commerce Eligibility for UPSC IRMS Examination)

IRMS (Indian Railway Management Service): Ministry of Railways, in session with UPSC and DoPT, has determined that recruitment to Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) might be carried out via a specially designed examination (IRMS Commerce Eligibility for Examination) to be performed via way of means of the UPSC from the year 2023 onwards. The IRMSE will be a two-tier examination – a Preliminary Screening Examination, and a Main Written Examination and Interview. For screening appropriate wide variety of applicants for the 2nd stage of the Examination, viz, IRMS (Main) Written Examination, all eligible applicants will be required to appear in Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and appropriate wide variety of applicants might be screened for IRMS (Main) Examination. The age limits and number of attempts for various categories will be same as those for the CSE.

UPSC Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) Educational Qualifications

Minimum Educational Qualification – Degree in Engineering / Degree in Commerce/ Chartered Accountancy, from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
