The release of the UPSC CSE result PDF, along with the disclosure of the cut-off marks, individual mark sheets, and the list of toppers, including their names, ranks, roll numbers, and category-wise breakdown, generates palpable anticipation and excitement. These documents not only unveil the names of successful candidates but also symbolize the emergence of future leaders who will steer the country’s course.
Notably, the candidature of 355 recommended candidates remains provisional, pending further verification. Marks of all candidates will be uploaded on the official website within 15 days from the declaration date, ensuring transparency and accountability in the selection process.

Journey of the UPSC Topper 2023: Aditya Srivastava
Aditya Srivastava, originally from Lucknow, became the top scorer in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services main exam of 2023. His journey from working at Goldman Sachs, a big investment bank, to achieving this feat in India’s civil services, is quite inspiring. He started his career at Goldman Sachs in Bengaluru in 2019 but left after 15 months to focus on preparing for the UPSC exams in Lucknow.
Even though he faced challenges, like failing the preliminary exam in 2021, Srivastava didn’t give up. He learned from his failures and kept trying. Finally, in 2022, he secured the 236th rank. He tried again in 2023 and secured the top rank nationwide.
UPSC Topper 2023 Rank 2 Animesh Pradhan
Animesh Pradhan, ranked 2nd in the UPSC 2023 exam, studied Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Rourkela. He went to DAV Public School in the Kalinga region of Odisha. Animesh hails from Bhalugadia in the Talcher area of Angul district. He scored 98.8% in his intermediate exams.
Before cracking the UPSC exam, Animesh worked as an Information System Officer at Indian Oil Corporation Limited. He faced hardships as he lost both his parents at a young age but was supported by his sister, who works in the Horticulture Department.
Animesh’s determination, hard work, and resilience helped him overcome obstacles and achieve the 2nd rank in the UPSC 2023 exam.
UPSC Topper 2023 Rank 3 Donuru Ananya Reddy
Donuru Ananya Reddy, born in Telangana, comes from a family where her father runs a business, her mother takes care of the home, and she has a younger sister who excelled in the JEE Main 2024 exam.
Ananya graduated with a BA (Honours) in Geology from Miranda House, Delhi University, in 2021. She achieved the third rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination of 2023 on her first attempt. Her goal is to become an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer to contribute to governance and public service.
During her interview, Ananya remained confident and composed, impressing the panel with her thorough answers and calm demeanor.
